The "BEST" years are 90-mid 91. Best all around.

Yes, they have been produced from 89-99. It is all on the style you like. There is 2 basic designs with 4 possible variations. This is only pertaining to the Eclipse side. The talon TSi and TSiAWD also have 2 basic designs, with 4 possible variations.

If the body style of the 90-91 0r 92-94 (1G) are not to your liking. Then the 95-96 or 97-99 (2G) will be a great bet. In the 2G years, they say that the newest version is the best 99 eclipse or 98 talon.

 

yeah.. body style. it changed again after 96 when they added a new front facia. 1st gens are lighter and have a stronger engine, but 2nd gens are SEXY*

*I have a 97 gsx

 

Also you can look at a Plymouth Laser, but for 2nd gens a 95-96 you will be able to tuen the ECU without having to buy a new one.

 

Mid 96 is when the Eprom took a hike.

Make sure it is an actual E-Prom before you get excited, lol.
