Hey amnew to this site. Am 20 years old and i got a 1996 gsxEclipse.I cant seem to find many persons da now much about them in my area SanJose,CAIwork in a automotive parts store and all the guys there are into hondas and muscle cars. so they cant help me and they dont think my car has potential to be fast. they have civics whit swap engines and all dat but am sure whit the all whell drive andturbo i could give them a run for there money. i havent race none of them because the car is stock it only has a apexi exhaust and a turbo timer.(wats da right time it should have to cool off) i have been looking for a intake and after market BV but i cant seemto find a intake all i find is a short ram air. i dnt know whats da best brand to go whit could i please get some suggestion on what i should do first. thanX

 

you got alot of reaserch to do before you start moding. First off the turbo timer, 30 sec is fine. Now for a BOV and other stuff there are 9832476972 sites to get aftermarket parts from. Just search around for DSM aftermarket. And yes these cars canand will destroy all your civic buddies and mustang kids with some good mods. Right now your looking at a high 14 sec 1.4 mile with the mods you have. And for an intake they only come short ram if thats what you want to call it. I always suggest that Injen is the best brand of intake.

 

Thanx so i do have some hope haw. Specialy the mustangs the guys are always telling me thatthere lug nuts require more torque than what my car puts out. Thank you am gonna do lots of reaserch.

 

yea those are basically ignorant people that dont know what they are talking about. With small amounts of upgrades you could have your car running 13's and then turbo upgrade and hit 12's. The 4g63 engine is a great platform for building a fast car. For your friends who dnot thin that the 4g63 is a good engine then look at the altime fastest list here
