Newbie on the loose!
Hey guys,
I'm the new kid here ... just looking for some help for my ailing 2003 Outlander. I'm gonna hop over to that forum to post my issues!
I'm glad there is a place like this for Mitsubishi enthusiasts!
Happy trails!

Hmmm. I am back. The forum I thought I would post in looks to be less visited.
Anyway, the question I have is for rebuilding a 4G64, and I guess the answer could apply to most of the 4G64 class.
I am rebuilding the engine. All I really need is to know which vendors for which parts. The engine has about 150K on it. I just want a stock rebuild, so no need for boring over, machine work, etc. The reason for the rebuild is a blown head gasket, and I just want to go through the engine while I have it out of the car.
Any ideas?

Hello Outlander friend...
I too have a poorly outlander and am new about here. Thought I'd say hi and good luck with the project.. I'm in the UK so all the places I know for parts wouldn't be much good to you... It seems to be a little quiet on the whole round here.
Have you thought about sourcing a used stock engine as an alternative to rebuilding yours. Depending on what needs doing it could work out cheaper and you could find one with less milage maybe... just a thought. If its just the head gasket and a bit of skimming though its probably not worth it...
