Default Outlander whining drivetrain

Hi,
I have a '03 Outlander with 175 000 KM. All dealer serviced. I've been hearing a «whining» sound when I drive it for about 45 min on the highway. When it is making it, the sound is not stronger when I accelarate it is constant. It only starts at aroud 50KM/hour and then fades away as the vehicle goes faster... The dealer checked eveything, lube, bearings, shafts but not making it when running on a hust. There was no Mitsubishi service bulleting regarding this issue. Any feedback from owners?

Cheers,

Rino Basque

Hi,
Since this post the car broke down... was driving and engine shut down, not able to start again. The dealer found the Camshaft Sensor broke because a plate was loose inside the engine. Could this be related with the whining noise?
