Hello everyone.
I really hope someone will be able to offer an advice.
The tpms light on the dashboard is on. initially it flashed for a while and then it has stayed on permanently, which I have learnt indicates the system malfunction.
The diagnostic tool shows all sensor are fine BUT
- the tire is not loosing pressure.
- If I take the wheel off and put it in a boot, and drive on the spare the light goes off and the system does not see any issues any longer. (I am assuming the receiver still picks up the signal if the wheel is in the boot)
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Is it possible the sensor is faulty even though the tool shows it is ok?
What could be the reason for this issue please?

 

The problem has now been solved. It was a faulty tpm sensor. the diagnostic tool showed it was ok but upon replacing the sensor the error disappeared from the dashboard.
