here is a good how to on the SAFC
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/newafcsetting.htm

the reason for the wideband is to what what a/f ratio you are running. And the safc is to tune the a/f ratio. So yes you need both

once you have a wideband you can check your current tune by watching the A/F ratio. You should be somewhere around an 11.3 But i posted in your other thread about the link for hks

Just curious... Do you have any ticking/knocking coming from your motor? Or does it run and sound smooth?

no ticking or knocking. It sound smooth but i turned the boost down to 20 today just to be safe. My low setting is at 1.00kg/cm and my high is at 1.43.

One question though, i had my car turned on(first time for a while) and changed all my boost settings and then i turned it off and back on and it says my low boost and high boost are at .48 and .49(goes back and forth) Do i need to run my car a little to build the boost up to the levels i set?

I have a pretty good understanding now of the evc so i think i did everything right. Now im going to learn about the safcII

well it has to fully spool to hit the high boost setting which usually take till about 4k rpms. But the best way to tune is in third gear starting at a low rpms and flooring it till you top out
