Default Manual boost controler

Okay quick question i am installing a manual boost controller this week my question is will the engine management systen pick up the fact i will be squeezing more boost out of the turbo, and add more fuel , as we know going lean w/ a turbo is a really bad thing or should i get a reflash done after installation any help here would be appreciated
