ok a buddy that has a eclipse...that i know over youtube...ask me something and i have no idea so maybe someone else knows


"hey i have that same car as 50ul }{4ck3r . i'm trying to install a t3/t4 turbo on it but the turbo is too big and it hits the big water line by the block and theres no way to get around that i need your help if you got any tips"

 

Does he have the stock exhaust manifold?

well this is what he told me

"yeah I Have the Stock and i also have another one that i bought that fits the new turbo and the new wastegate why you ask?"

 

Well, I ask, b/c that turbo prolly isnt meant to bolt to the stock manifold.. I don't have that turbo, but im guessing they need that other manifold to be able to clear the water line there..

 

ok i message him and this is what he said

this is what i ask him "well have you tried it with both....stock & aftermarket..does it still hit the bar"

"YES, BUT WITH THE STOCK MANIFOLD THE TURBO JUST DOES NOT FIT AND I THINK I HAVE TO GET A FLANGE ADAPTOR THATT CONNECTS THIS BIGGER NEW T3T4 TURBO WITH THE STOCK MANIFOLD WICH I DONT KNOW IF IS A T1 OR T2 OR WHAT KIND OF MANIFOLD (I HAVE NO CLUE) BUT IF I GET THIS FLANGE ADAPTOR THAT JUST SERVES AS AN EXTENTION T3T4 TO T3T4 THE TURBO WILL HANG LOWER AND I CAN USE THE AFTERMARET MANIFOLD, REALLY THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME I WILL TRY TO UPLOAD SOME PICS LATER"

 

pics would help... i don't know a lot about the t3/t4 but i do know that they sell a manifold for that turbo by itself... probably for this reason exactly.

well that guy said he got it he ordered a flange peice to weld to turbo..but what ever..so no more help needed....
