i found an engine for sale that is said to have 500hp+ and did the 1/4 mile in high 11's.... but the engine is for awd and i have fwd. how had is it to convert because if i could get my car doing high 11's i would have to poop my pants.

the motor is no diff from the FWD motor the diff is the tranny so use the FWD tranny and your good to go

 

so if i buy it, it will just fit like a charm? and are you saying the high 11's isnt going to happen?

lol. its just what im told, and he also said thats at only 15psi... that makes it more unbelieveable

 

my car can run high 11s if I had cams and at 22ish PSI.

the 11s isnt impossible but the AWD conversion was what I was saying wont happen. neither would high 11s on a FWD car unless you find some nice drag radials since traction wont be your friend

there is no difference between the 4G63 motor for FWD or AWD the motor is the same the drivetrain is the difference

 

emonz, my step dad is a deasel mechanic and he is telling me that an awd engine usualy wont fit on a fwd...

 

yes it will it is no different from FWD the motor is the same the difference is the tranny.. how do you think guys with 2G eclipses and talons swap in the 6 bolt 1G motor

 

Your motor is differnct from the 4G63 but as far as I know they can be swapped in those it is the 420a engine in the RS GS 2G eclipse\talons that cant be swapped with the turbo motor
