I'm a lucky charm
The last two times I've gone to the track, friends of mine have won the Pro ET division. It is good to see your friends do good. This is not for the haters of other type of cars, this is for the quarter mile racers in this 'Off Topic' section...
Bob won a couple weeks ago in the Chevy Luv but was out in 3 yesterday because his dial-in was 10.00 and since he is not certified yet to go faster and he broke out with a 9.99 standing on the brakes to slow down because he was going too fast past his guy. He started with a yawning 10.07 but the last two runs he was under 10 and the only thing that kept him in was the race before was his guy red lighted, he broke out every time. On his last run he finally got the front end up off the ground a couple inches, but not this picture. We changed the ladder bars and checked the pinion that was off before these runs. Track was really hot but as the tempraturecooled so did the times, the cars went faster by quite a bit.
Yesterday, Arron won and he started with a 10.05 but when we were leaving he had a 9.90 on the window. Remember, both cars are naturally aspirated, the truck a big block and the car a small block. Both street legal but the truck runs on premium but the car runs on race gas.

The camera is an older 3.2 pixel Olympus 740 with 30:1 zoom (10 optical) and the truck is a stretched '76 Chevy Luv and the Camaro is a '79 with a fiberglass front end, no seems except for the hood. The truck was mostly hand built by my buddy in his shop/garage, frame, dash, floors, firewall and every body panels has some sort of weld and reshaping except for the doors.
