Not really they only been here 25 years. They are coming out with the Hatchback soon.

I see more people driving the Mitsubishi Lancer,Outlander and Evo compared to 3 years ago.

Hyundai made bad sale for years but never withdrew from USA and especially Kia.
Suzuki NEVER really made cars they tried but failed. They are better in making motorcycles.

It is the Economy even Toyota are not selling well because no one is buying except for those rich people and people who handled their money well.

Mitsubishi is now selling because they perfected the steering and AWD system, Especially the style of their cars compared to the old BOX type design before.

One thing more Mitsubishi Electric car will be on sale this month. That's another car that will make good sale in US market.

Especially for those are waiting for faster and more energy efficient cars. The electric car will be a hot seller in big cities like New York and Chicago.

I love Mitsubishi it is the fastest car I ever had. I feel like flying the infamous Mitsubishi Fighter of WW2 the ZERO.

CYPRESS, Calif., June 2, 2009: Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) today announced May 2009 sales of 4,352. May sales, up 11% from April and were led by Mitsubishi's volume leader Lancer. Lancer sales increased 20% from April.

MMNA Executive Vice President of Operations John Koenig noted, "We are encouraged by the strength of our distinctive Lancer and Outlander models, which have been consistent performers this year. And, we are hopeful the positive trend we see in May continues as we progress into the summer selling season and add the new Lancer Sportback to the mix," Koenig added.

Not to mention the Smart car is actually a combined effort of Mitsubishi and I believe Mercedes. I've been seeing more and more of those on the road around here lately. There was another article I read about this where Mitsubishi flat out said they wouldn't be dropping the American market because they believe we will eventually return to our former glory and power.

Suzuki is actually making some quality cars now a days.
We have a Suzuki dealer across the street from were I work.
I'm considering an XL7 SUV for my wife... she really loves em and I was impressed with the initial impression of quality.

Mitsu wont pull out of the US now. They are starting to turn the corner finally. they actually have a quality lineup for a change. The lancer is saving them though.
