life is terrible right now... my engine blew the other day, i took it apart and my rod bearings are shot, i cant even find 1/2 of one.. so i think it is going to be a good 500+ dollars to rebuild it because i am getting oil pump( in case there is metal shavings in this one), need either new or re-firbished crank, rod bearings, and i hopefullyt am going to just rebuild it all, but the thing is, i have no money at all, cant get a job, and none of my family memebers will help me with money.. and i need this car running by june soi cango to college.. in otherwords, my life is shot because ofthis car... i am skrewed

because any job near me is about 5 miles away, i dont own a bike and we dont have a city bus around here.. and i have no ride..

start mowing lawns, sell your car and use it towards another - a VERY cheap one. i got my del slow for 1k and it's taken me on over 6 road trips safe and sound.

 

That sucks so hard core. It looks like you're going to have tosell the carand buy a cheaper one or sell some drugs or something lol, j/k. I feel ya though the same **** happened to me, however I had just paid off all of my debts. I was dropping off a gun I was selling to someone when my car threw a rod... 2 days before this semister started. I had to get someone to drive me out to get a car, deff not a fun day.

RCJ, i know yall are thinking i am coming up with excuses, but i would LOVE to go mow lawns, but there is one slight problem.. i have 2 riders, neither of the work, and 2 push, one does work, the other works but doesnt run for more than 30mins then you have to wait 30mins and go again because it also has a messed up engine, it shoots out smoke and after 30mins the spark plug is all corroted and it stalles.. it takes about 6hrs just to mow my lawn, and i have a small yard...

throwing a rod usually has nothing to do with oil. I threw a rod right threw my block on my 4g64 that only had an Intake and cat back on it. The reason rods snap are usually 2 things driver abuse or factory default. alot of cars have rod bolts stretch and when that happens at some point under heaviest load it will kill one
