Unfortunatly you cant just sue someone for dolla' bills, in a civil suit she would have to prove that a part of her daily life is either effected or impeded due to the circumstances resulting from the crash. Even so, if said instances were to occur and money was awarded it would be allocated to further increase the quality of life, such as medical care(plastic surgery, ect.). However, a settlement or court decision of that type could take years which most people can't wait or wont bother.
pretty much, there's some retarded people on the internet that let a brand stigma run their ****. I know because i'm one of them

ouch sorry to hear about that. i myself have just recently got t-boned and side swiped by a mini van. another hit and run accident unfortunately. that makes 2 accidents in my whole driving career and both of them hit and run -.-"
