im trading it for a gsx... and i'm sure you'll like that one much more haha... but no the brushing the resin on was easy, just use a cheap throw away brush you can get from sears for like a $1, mix it up in a big cup, and just spread it on... what do you mean by burning myself??

lol. well i heard that the resin gest really hot and pops and stuff and that you can burn the crap out of yourself.. not sure if that's the case but that's what i was told. And why I have yet to try it.. that and now I have no trunk it'd probly be pointless unless I did the back seat.. I have 2 twelves in a sub box shoved in my trunk now and it is TIGHT! I can't even fit a 20disk cd holder in there. it sucks lol.

I'm sure there is an exothermic reaction when you mix the resin...but I highly doubt it would be hot enough to burn you. But there could be a chemical reaction when it comes in contact with tissue that would feel like a burn.

yea, its kinda like bondo or duraglass... it'll get warm as it's hardening, but when you mix it it definitely doesnt pop or even get hot enough to burn you... yaknow, i could always make ya a box that would kinda be a rear seat delete haha, that'd actually be sweet

i think when you finish sanding, you should make a mold. that way, you could mass produce these things much easier if you ever had any interest in making more.

buy some latex at an art supply store, give it about a 1 inch coat and then make a two piece plaster mold around that.
then you can just hand lay fiberglass inside the mold.

if you want to do vacuum bagging, you can use the compressor off and old refrigerator.
