wild, out there A/C question
I don't know a thing about moding and installing universal parts that require changing around stock parts.. things that are made specifically for your car that fit perfectly, I can do that! ... depending on how hard it is.
I mean, I don't even know where this thing goes.. in something, beside something, bla bla bla... err.. why can't cars be easy. [>:]
Thanks for that product though.. I'll look more into it.

I love making things fit. It runs in the business that I do. Boats are unlike cars in the way that nothing is universal (well some things are but 80% of the time things need to be modified) and I scare the hell out of people kinda like, " ya so this transducer will work in the same hole as the old one, you will just need to make a new faring block and probally bore the hole in the hull out a bit more. It would be a 5 hour project with the right tools." then they reply "uhh... like the bottom" with a scard *** look on their face.
I installed a DIY tranny cooler I bought from a guy at 3si.org. He pre-engineered it, so that took a lot of the guesswork out of it. The whole time I was installing it, I couldn't help but to think, why didn't I so this sooner...and cheaper (it wasn't really that expensive anyway).
Well worth the the couple hours it took to install.
All you really need is a cooler, 6+- feet of fluid hose, some quality hose clamps, some zip ties, and some fittings and/or adaptors. Find a suitable location, preferbly in a spot with some air-flow, attach however you see fit, plumb it in to the tranny cooler lines that run into your radiator...voila' you have a tranny cooler.

Thats one thing I did learn from working on other people boats... its not a good idea. Every time you go to do something their right over your shoulder watching your every move, even though they have no idea what your doing. And when ever something breaks your the first person they call and blame.
