Default wild, out there A/C question

Is it at all possible.. to route part of the A/C in a car (mainly a 2G eclipse) .. to blow INSIDE the engine bay? I know, it's crazy.. 100% ghetto rigged .. but, is it possible?

My tranmission slips when it gets hot.. but its fine when its cold.. I was thinking if I kept it cool (if that would even keep it cool) that I wouldn't have to dish out tons of bank to get my transmission fixed. lol. I'm a cheap bastard.

just change the fluid, that should help. To be honest, to do that re routing would take alot of time and effort... and I dont think it would work all that well. If you want to lower the temp of the tranny, get a tranny cooler for a neon or something and I am sure that you could adapt the hoses to make it work... that or you could get a oil cooler off a old gm or ford truck, flush it and pipe it in, but thats ghetto as hell.

I've already changed the fluid and filter... didn't do ****. I've seen these transmission cooler things online and stuff, but I never knew if they worked or how hard it would be to install them. How much do you know about it all?

Well, it basically works like a radiator. The fluid cycles through it and get cool. They should come with specific directions but basically it will just have you tap an ingoing line into the tranny that carrys fluid and run the cooler through that.

I looked around a little bit, but I couldn't find anything that was made for a 2g eclipse. So.. me dunno. [&:]
