Ok, I give up. It runs great with the maf unplugged. It's going to auction on Thursday.[&o]

When you replaced the maf did you disconnect the battery to reset the kam (keep alive memory)?

My 00 GS was giving me troubleI ended up finding a crack in the intake manifold right by the throttlebody flange. I replaced the mani and a month later the new one cracked. had mitsu replace the next one and it cracked again.

I had a ebay short ram intake on the car that I feel was the suspect causeing the issue.

Just something to think about as the intake mani is very poor and thin

another thing I am thinking. is the car should not be drivable with the MAF unplugged i mean it should barely idle. I think that my car acted the same way with the intake crack. MAF unplugged teh car ran idles good. I mean a crack will also causeun metered air pulled into the motor resulting in a lean mix and unstable startup and driving

You can drive a car w/ the maf dissconected, I do it all the time w/ fords, I guess it runs off a default setting.

try doing that in to a mitsu. the car will NOT move at all esspecially a 4g64 motor. I know from personal experience my old GS would stall right out when the crack go bad on the intake mani. you know why it would stall? not because there was a crack but because the car essencially was running maf less. and with it unplugged the car will stumble and mis pretty badly maybe drivable but that very easily or smoothly.

its even worse with boost Mitsu MAF cars.
