Default DSMLink questions...

hey guys ...
im getting to the point that im ready to order the DSMLink for my car...
so today i pulled the ecu out to socket it... or so i thought.
i open it up and no EEProm in sight besides 2 QFP's ... so ummm ...
after writing down the numbers from the ECU jumped on the site and found out the folowing:

California MT (MNGFL9M) - 7/96-6/97 - MD335287

i think i gotta look for a new ECU....
anyone have any first hand experience with this ??

Default RE: DSMLink questions...

ok...
after a lil bit of searching, i have found this on DSMLinks Site:

How can I use the 2G version of DSMLink in my '96+ model DSM?
Unfortunately, you'll have to locate a '95 EPROM ECU somewhere. They do show up on various parts traders from time to time and there are junkyards online that sell 'em too. Expect to pay about $150-$300 for one. Several of our users have reported good finds on http://car-part.com/, not to be confused with www.carparts.com.

so i guess i need and ECU...
anyone got a spare that they are willing to part with ???
