I had to replace Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2003 ECU according to Mitsubishi Tech I need to do "ECU Initilization".

What is ECU Initilization ?? Is it to write VIN number in the second-hand ECU ? Is it to write the ECU code in the immo-box ECU ??

I can have access to a used- MUT II. Do any of you have the procedure to to that ? Is it possible to do it outside the dealer ? or Do I need a "secret code" or be conected to Mitsubishi dealer network ?
