I am not sure exactly waht my cousin is running right now, he has experimented with the honda motors alot I htink that it is an B18B1 possibly right now. He has built atleast a dozen honda motors for him and his friends. I know that he runs an XL radiator, high volume fule pump fule rail, high vaolume/high pressure oil pump stiffer valve springs, special cams and Im sure some other stuff. It took him a while to get it to run safe like that he blew up a coulple motors.

Like everyone else said, it is hard to tell because alot of people swap the motors out. The Civic SI (DOHC V-Tec) is hondas best stock motor for civics, which is not hard to beat. I used to own a Integra and the problem with V-tec is that it only increases the HP and does basicially nothing for the torque. My cousin builds civics (hatchbacks) and he has built some pretty quick ones. Some people really know how to push them. The hondas he builds, he shifts at 10k everytime. It is the loudest thing you will ever hear. The police definently know when he is coming! but overall Civics with basics mods are not a threat.
a B16Caka civic type r motor can shift that high with a chip, but they still arent fast, my buddy has a swap in his hatch, still gets owned by a stock gli lol
