Default Mirage vs. Subaru Legacy?

So one of the shop managers said he'd race me, he's got a late 90's, maybe as new as '02, Subaru Legacy. From what I can tell, it's an AWD, 16 valve SOHC I-4 that comes stock with around 165 flywheel hp and 166lb/ft of torque. Curb weight is right around 3365lbs, most likely an auto (but not sure). My question is this, I know I've got him from a roll, especially if his is an auto, but from a light, will I stand a chance with that AWD?

Are there any other Legacy trims that come with more hp & torque that I've overlooked? I like to do a little research on what the other guy is driving, just to see if I've got a snowball's chance at beating them......ya, never raced an AWD car before.

I'm right around 2500-2600 on any given day (that weight's with me in the car) and probably around 170-180whp. Don't know torque off the top of my head, but if I had to guess, I'd say 150-160 at the wheels. And the dude just took 2 weeks vacation time, so I'm going to have to wait to race him

Practice your launches so you know what your maximum rpm you can launch without wheel spin and then practice how hard you can throttle first gear without spinning tires. HP/Weight you have him beat, but you need to practice if you have not done this alot. It also would not hurt if you can get some sticky tires.
