Default Suspension issues

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor XLS AWD w/136K miles. It runs great, however, I recently ran into a problem. I bought new tires for the vehicle and had an alignment done. After that and an inspection done, I asked that the tech check the "thumping" sound I kept hearing. He noted that the struts needed replacement (that were causing a bumping noise) as well as the anti-sway system has play in it and needs replacement. I replaced the struts with KYB struts and front strut mounts. I don't understand what he is meaning by "a lot of play in the anti-sway system" causing noise on bumps and needing replacement. Does anyone have any idea what they are talking about and what part they mean needs replacing. Replacing the struts helped significantly, but there is still a loose feel of the front end when hitting a bump. The U joint is apparently not a problem. Anything you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,
NMCardFan

I had the same noise but it ended up being a cover for the fuel system vent rubbing against the tire wall as he shock absorber would force down..
