Yea the combination of surge & 28 psi is probly why my 16g has the IC well oiled now. Easy way to find a boost leak, look for the oil coming out[8D]
im gonna ****can that thing, i finished up the 20g today and just gotta put it back on & not even run it untill i get a BOV & switch over to a GM maf
Its snowy & the roads are salted to hell anyway so ive been out bashin the GSX around
Ummmm why did you run 28PSI on a 16G? not even the EVO TS Big 16G with 10.5 hotside will blow up at that boost

I only run it that high from light to light, like 1st gear launch, run out 2nd gear then let off. Just an old worn out 16g anyway. Not that i care. the thing looks like it came off a WWII tank. The inside of the exhaust housing is cracked up so bad it looks like a dried up lake when the mud cracks.
I wont run the 20g with no BOV. I'm buyin another car trailer this weekend sincegot stolen from the shop so that puts my MAFT on hold.[>:]I havent drove that thing all week, its gonna sit untill i get it straightened out cuz my 20g is back together, i jus thave to put it on. I just keep pokin around in my old s10 for now

its not that, runnning a 16g so far out of its effeicentcy range is bad for you car all your doing is blowing hot air. and if your not running race gas or alky\meth then all your doing is causing knock and detnation and motors dont take that very well. Doesnt matter if it is light to light. you shouldnt go over 23 PSI on any turbo without race gas or injection cooling it just a very bad idea

Of course i use race fuel with that much boost. I'm not getting any knock whatsoever or i wouldnt do it. I'm not that dumb. geesh.Note my compression is 7:1, forged pistons. It'll take it, i put this one together.Ill throw whatever it can take at it as long as i dont get knock. the 28x12x4 FMIC still cools the air enough for short jumps.

down with ssq! If you like driving anywhere other than the strip, then you do not want an ssq. ssq's have 2 settings- completely open, or completely closed....back off the throttle just a little around a corner, and that **** aint gonna open!

sounds like the spring being too tight to me. I havent touched my talon in a week, i been too busy tearing my race car back apart . the damn coolant froze while it was sitting in the garage, so when i tried to start it it tore teeth off the new timing belt cuz it runs the water pump on a neon 420a. $1200 rebuild and i let it freeze up.[:@]it wasnt frozen solid enough to crack anything or to even push out a freeze plug but enough to stop the water pump.

My buddy found an SSQV for cheap and it comes with the recirc fitting soim gonna try it out. hopefully it'll work good with the 20g. I have it all ready to put back on.

WTF??? Something was wrong with yours. My car runs perfect with my Ssq. opens when it needs to and stays closed as it should
