hey racerx.. howd you split the casing from the bell housing? im tryin to take mine apart and i got all the bolts off, but the seal is holding it together still and i cant break it. i dont wanna stick a screwdriver in and start prying cause i know ill f something up.. howd you seperate yours??

check that.. i broke open the seal.. but there are 3 studs that are still holding the 2 pieces together. i dont wanna pry the two pieces apart, but it really doesnt seem like i have any other options.. anybody got any suggestions?

i just used a rubber hammer and smacked it a few good times to pop it apart ( use a block of wood if you dont have a rubber mallet)
took off the end cover, then take off the VC and 5th gear then the next section splits . and you gotta take the 3 bolts out of the front side for the shift rods, those have the ball and spring for the shift positions., also take out the reverse light switch.,then that section comes off, then you take all the bolts outof the bellhousingand there was a bolt that holds reverse gear in place to take out of the back side up closer to the bell housing. they come apart in3 parts
need any pictures?
