Default O2 Sensor.

1990 Eclipse GSX, I'm having issues finding the O2 sensor for the exaust. Someone told me that it was on the downpipe but I can't seem to find it to replace it. Anyone have any idea where I should look.

I have replaced that O2 Sensor already but someone told me there was another one on the down pipe. I know they are suppose to have 2 O2 sensors.

The problem being is I will be driving and the engine will start bogging.

So I have replaced the one you mentioned and still need to replace the 2nd one.

how do you know its the o2 sensor. It could have something to do with a boost leak, or a ignition issue. But the second one should be on the exhaust after the cat.

its a 90 so there is only 1 o2 sensor, when your driving, does it bog at a certain rpm level.

Yeah there is only one o2 sensorup to 1995. 1996 ad up has two o2 sensors.

Is it a misfire, does it do it under a heavy load? Like everyone else said check for boost leaks.

actually thats nottrue. I had a 95 and it had 2 o2 sensors on it. Im guessing maybe it started in 93. Not sure, just a guess. Im sure woody probably knows exactly when but eh 95's definetly had two

That might be true, I thoughtsince 1995 was still ob1 and only used 1 o2 sensor.

Well last night I crused by the all night Auto Zone and got the stuff to make a test kit for the boost leak. So hopefully tonight I will beable to figure out exactly what the problem is. Stupid Epoxy sets so slow ><
