swapped the timing cover brackets and put the new timing components on. Just waiting on the intake valve seals and timing belt to complete the engine. Already have new timing covers, aluminum pulleys, and an evo fluidampr for some reason. This company is pissing me off. Also, just a side note.... From what i've seen so far. You can use a 95-96 cas with the 1g head.... I know i know. i've read it all too, but seriously it bolts up and fits the cam gear perfectly. Also, the 2g water pipe and thermostat housing bolt up too. Who knew? After the JMF intake manifold and arc-2 arrive i'll wire in my hayabusa coils, install the obx fuel rail and 1000cc injectors. then the engine should be ready to go in.

Side note... how long do you think my tranny will last on this set up at 32psi? I'm kinda worried but don't have the funds to get it running AND buy a built tranny. Plus if the tranny is built then the stress will transfer to the axles (which are stock), and the driveshaft (again stock).... dsm's are a never ending project and money pit... but for some reason I love my car.

It really depends on how you drive the car, Its the shock of launching/shifting that tears the driveline. How much hp do you think you'll be making on your set up now?

1000cc injectors can handle 500hp at 80% duty cycle and the engine can handle ~750-800 depending on a couple of things. The only thing limiting me is my turbo. a 50trim is only rated to flow enough air for 450hp. I'm not sure if the increase of bore and stroke will effect the max HP, but i'm sure it will.... so... haha 450-480... depending on the what the turbo can push.

finished swapping the valve springs and seals on the intake side, installed the comp 101200's, valve cover, cam gears, seals, timing belt, timing covers, and the alternator. I also put the new ralco rz water pump/ps pump pulley on. Just waiting on the fluidampr to put the accessory belts on. I started working with the 3 gauge vent pod as well to swap my a-pillar gauges to the cented vent location. Looks like my egt gauge is the 60mm though so i'm going to have to widen the hole for that gauge. I still need to pull the old engine, clean the engine bay from the oil thats been leaking and slung around by the belts. I might do some more work tonight, may not. I'll post pictures later tonight though

Worked on the car from 9:00pm until 5:15am when I had to go to PT. Dropped the tranny, pulled the engine, cleaned the nastiness in the engine bay. Put in the non-cruise control throttle cable, installed the new clutch master cylinder (its annoying that they put it behind a bunch of stuff in the corner), installed the SS -an clutch line (replaces everything from master to slave), still need to zip tie it up, pull the old clutch line, install it to the slave cylinder, put the new battery cables on, trace the alternator wire, and then i can put the new engine in (after I wipe it down for the last time). And then on to all the interior stuff.....
