i have a 97 eclipse 2.4 the cooling came out from the back of the engine, anyone know what wrong with it?

 

Please go into more detail. Do you mean the coolant is leaking from the back of the engine? If so, what part of the engine is it coming from? Is it leaking, dripping, or spraying?

 

umm i only know the coolant ran out from the back of engine (can't fill up the radiator) and the car wont start. the car was running fine before that happen.

 

Do you visually see coolant coming out of the engine block. ? Or are you assuming? If you don't see it coming from the block your radiator may have a hole in it. Have you checked and doubled checked all your lines and the drain on the radiator?

 

That's what I was about to ask too lol It is VERY common to have a coolant leak elsewhere and it be spraying on to the engine and leaving residue or dripping/running down. I would suggest the same thing, check your radiator for leaks, fill the reservoir and it should fill the radiator...then check all lines and everything...I would never automatically assume its coming from the engine unless I see it coming from there as that is a VERY BAD THING!

 

visually saw coolant coming out the back of engine, i wonder how much it cost to fix it?

 

probably a leaking head gasket. are you handy with tools and engines? if not haul it off to a mechanic shop and drop a couple hundred for them to replace it. but at least run it by a shop, let them look at it and see what they think
