I just bought a 99 eclipse gs on saturday. On tuesday it shot a spark plug from the head gasket. It striped it and now im car less. I bought a helly coil to retap it but will that fix it for good or will i have to replace the whole head and if so where can i find one and about how much is it gonna cost me?

 

shot a spark plug from the head gasket? maybe I'm mistaken, but it should screw into the cylinder head, not the head gasket. The head gasket is simply what it says, a gasket for the cylinder head. The gasket is not strong enough to hold in a spark plug. Are you sure though that it is stripped out?
