97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GST - What would you do?
Sorry I lost my password for a while and wasn't able to get on here.
I haven't done a boost test on it and there appears to be a loud scratching noise now when I just start the car and run it for a little bit. It appears the metal cover on the side of the engine is missing 2 bolts and I'm going to see about replacing these. I'm hoping it's not my turbo burning out cause the noise is coming right about it and the noise only comes around 2K rpms.
I sitll need to do a fuel system flush on it and is there any way to tell if the injectors are faulty? I'm looking for any possible signs to help find out what is wrong with this.
My problem almost seems as if there isn't enough horse power to move the car up, if the car is not in gear then the rpms travel great, they go up pretty constant with the gas pedal being pressed in, but once you put the car in gear, the rpms travel slower and slower. First gear isn't too bad, 2nd gear is slower to go up in rpms, ect ect. I understand this would be natural to go up slower because the added torque needed, but then again, it's way underpowered.
