adjustable cam gears

Default adjustable cam gears

i just bought Fidanza Cam Gears and i dont know which way gives me more hp and which way gives me more tq and how am i supposed to know where to set them and how much to adjust them after they are installed please teach me about adjusting cam gears thank you

didnt know you could actually adjust cam gears? I thought they always had to be in the same possition

I think he is talking about the ones that have extra tick marks on them to allow to them to either open earlier or later than usual. As whether or not which is better, I have no idea. I think they are made for if you have some more heavier mods so you can adjust it.

Adjustable cam gears should be adjusted by an experienced tuner with access to a dyno. Don't install them unless you know what your doing.

and especially on these motors, adjusting too much will likely resuly in some bent valves.

Seriously, wow, just wow.

Well if you adjust them all the way up that gives you the most hp, where if you turn them all the way down you get more tq, its very simple, not techinical in any sense. [:-]
