My stock car audio system never work since i got the car. Checked the fuse under the hood and they look good. Changed the amp and still no results. IThe stock head unit powers on, power antena goes up, and it loads and reads cds. Just no audio or even static noise. Any other help would be nice thanks.

 

maybe the cable from the 'out' of the unit has come off or its bad.

Its got to be the output speaker wires

 

take the head unit out, check for any loose or disconnected wires/cables. if everything seems to be in order start checking the connections to the speakers themselves, if everything looks good there then you must have a problem in the wire from the unit to the speaker... get a volt meter to see if you are getting current to the end of the wire, if so then you have blown speakers. if thats the case just get urself some new 6 1/2' speakers and there you go but if it is a problem witht the wires... it's not so hard running new wires under the carpet to the rears (i did it in mine for better speaker wire connection) but running from the head unit to the door speakers is a B I A!!!!!!!! good luck hopefully you don't have to do that
