A/C problems with new car
I have a 2003Ecipse and at 1000km the air stopped working. I took it into the dealer and they said a rock punctured it and wanted $1100 to fix it. I was so mad, I hadn't even made a payment yet and only had driven the car 10 times and now they want $1100. I couldn't afford it and found someone to fix it rather than replace it. It has been fixed twice and now the air isn't very cool, white stuff blows through the ventsand when I turn it off water starts gushing off the compressor (not the normal amount), enough to make a puddle at the end of my driveway

I complained to head office because I think it is a design flaw with the front bumper leaving everything exposed but they didn't want to help, they were quite rude.

Has anyone else had AC problems? I am so disappointed with this car

A/C problems with new car
I am dissapointed because of the design of the car. If you look at the Lancer they come with grills to prevent this from happening but for some reason they didn't put them on the Eclipse. Its crazy that a rock can puncture the air. I now realize that you can buy after market grills but no one warned me. So Basically my air was dead by 1000 km but it was probably punctured way before that and the freon slowly leaked out. For all I know the car came with the puncture. Its just crazy that in the first 10 days I have a $1100 repair bill that could have been prevented.
