Ok i have a 97 GST spyder w/some mods and this is really weird issue. When i take a right hand turn hard the car acts like it wants to shut off. It only does it on right turns and not left. It seems like its not getting fuel so i figured it was just the gas in the tank going to one side. I know what your going to say, its not crankwalk because i just had a whole rebuild 800 miles ago. It did this before the rebuild so i know thats not whats causing it. Is there anything you guys could think of that would cause this?

 

Hey man, I had a similar problem. I believe it was the MAF sensor. I believe that was it. It was awhile back. Not sure if this helps.

 

well my MAF was replaced with the rebuild so that couldnt be it. Im lost as to what it could be. Ive never heard of this problem before. Its really weird!

 

I agree. I had an old Ford Truck that would die coming up to a light and other various times and it was the MAP sensor. Been a while so I don't remember what it stands for, anyone? Manifold Axxxxx Xxxxxx

The spyders have the MAP? What about the MAF? I can't remember but I kinda thought it was one or the other not both...

 

Since its the turbo engine. Didn't it come with both the MAF and MAP. Can't completely recall but a friend of mine has a GST spyder and i didn't notice anything different in the engine bay.
