So where did you get your tranny from? And how much did it cost you to put it in?

 

I was watching that last night, reminded me of this.

The synchro's basically sync the engine output shaft speed and the trans input shaft speed. If a syncro is shot you will likely grind going IN gear but not pop out. Sounds like you've got a rod bending. I'd suggest going to a junkyard and findind a car that was rearended. That way you KNOW the trans was running before it was scrapped. Or find a car that caught fire or something. Just check things over really good. If the body is in damn good shape then the car likely blew the engine or the rtans went bye bye.
