I just scored a 91 talon tsi turbo. I already own one of these which i have been building up. I have decided to take one of the engines out and as my new project , i would like to build this into one hell of a street engine. I am going to do just about everything to it. I want THE MOST street horse power i can get. I do not however want to give up acceleration for top speed. I want awsome 0-60 times. This will be an on going build. It will be the first engine i have built. Money wont really be an issue here.If you guys have ANY suggestions as to any part let me know. I mean turbo, cams, crank, pistons , rods etc. I considered buying a new engine to do this to but i really want to build this one.

I am just looking for any bodys opinions.

Mind you it must be street legal, and i am more concerned about acceleration than top speed.

 

my opinion would be to look around and mak sure you know all the stuff you want to buy before you start. So that way you can piece the whole thing together the way you want. And so you can make sure that each mod complements each other. On good site that i like for parts and upgrades for the 1g is AMSperformance.com

They have been working on these for a long time and know the best parts to get.

 

I went to pick it up and the car was like destroyed BUT he had a 91 tsi turbo AWD with new kuhmo (?) tires on it that he sold me for $400. All it needs is a horn and then its off to get inspected
