Default Idle Problem

I have a 95 Eclipse GS and my speedometer quit working, so I replaced the VSS which didn't fix the problem because the gear in the manual tranny is worn out, but anyways after the speedometer quit working I started geting a check engline light. I read the code and it said my IAC was bad, so I replaced it. The problem still exists and I was reading some where that the IAC resets itself at a certain speed. So if my speedometer is not working and the ECU is not getting a speed signal then it wont reset and idle correctly? Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Default RE: Idle Problem

Sounds about right... You might want to see about getting the speedo gear fixed... If not for wanting to know how fast you're going for the fact that it's kinda necessary (At least out here cuz you need it for inspection lol)
