Good Morning,
My 04 Spyder is at the dealer with an idle control problem. I got an engine warning light, they said the "idle control servo" was bad. They replaced it and now the idle fluctuates between 1,000 and 1,350 RPM. Before they cop-out to tell me this is "normal" and the previous idle of about 800 was always too low, what do other 3.0 Eclipses idle at? Please help! Thank you.

looks like around 800, think the stealership just screwed you........

 

It seems there's a lot of problems with idle amd Mitsubishi V6. Thanks for the responses. The car is in for round 5 of trying to solve this problem.

 

I think all cars/trucks are sapost to idle at 800

 

Well, my RX-7 doesn't like to idle at anything other than 1200, lol.

 

800's just about right, also I'm not familiar with the term, idle control servo, probably an official name but not sure exactly what they're refering to.

 

sounds like a fancy name for idle speed sensor..........

 

Mine idles at 1100
