Default Interior Lights Question!

Hey whats up? I have a black 99 GS and I just ordered some indiglo gauges with the aluminum bezel! Im trying to get rid of those gross colored orange lights in the interior of my car! You know the lights that show the AC at night! If anyone has ever changed those out, or know how to get to them, please reply! Any help would be greatly apprecieated! Peace !

the a/c lights are fairly easy to get to, just take out the center trim that goes around the radio and you can unscrew the whole a/c control system.......

I was able to find a aftermarket HVAC cluster with blue, red and indigo for my 2003, you might want to see if they offer those for your year, if you haven't looed already. Other than that you have two options. Find the part number for the bulb and go to say Optix.com or any neon or halogen light provider and order shaded bulbs to replace them. The other option witch I've seen done but it's kind of hack in my opinion, is disconnect the factory lights whatever way you see fit and the get indigo stick on lights, the really small ones and run those where you need them. Hope that helps a litlle.

Where did you find the colored hvac's for yours? I've seen white overlays for mine but that's it.

hey, i'm trying to do the same thing to my car, changing the color of the lights and all..
I have a 99 RS, and before I go taking everything apart in my car, do I actually need a different colored light bulb or is there some sort of trasparent colored filament thing I need? ..lost..

Def go with colored bulbs, much better off. You still get a uniform light unlike you can with filters and stuff like that.
