dsm stands for diamond star motors, it was a coop effort between mitsu and chrysler, you have a mitsu car and a chrysler motor, to be technical, no u dont have one (someone correct me if im wrong), but we all consider any mitsu a dsm............ i believe they stopped callin them dsm's after 94, but im not sure...........

Check for the DSM sticker on the passanger side of the car under the hood i got one in my 95.

my bf and i are in the same position.. we have a 97 gs-t and the previous owner lost the remote... so it is really funny when i watch him unlock the doors.. jump in.. and start it in 15 seconds.. i hadn't started checking on replacing the remotes yet, but after reading this.. i dont think i want to see the price the dealership is going to charge here.. when i first bought my 91 gs i had some problems with it.. to make a long story short they charged me $187 to change my spark plug wires [:@].. and my car hasn't returned to them since.. i bought a chilton manual and started doing my research and now i fix my own car (for the most part) LOL
