Default lifter so dam noisy

well i have read about the noisy lifter that are common with eclipse. This morning it was kind of nippy and when i started the car it was really loud plus my oil pressure was half way up there. Is it normally loud when the weather cold or engine is cold.

yah.. it just surprise me since i know my lifers tick. This time it sounded like extra loud, so i was like wtf i can't have bent valves. Well its quiet down now but my retarded gas smell is back. Can't figure where that leak is the top of the fuel pump is all rusty lookin.

bent valves means a dead motor the car wont hold compression and wont run. so the tick is low oil pressure at startup or something too

Dont mean to jack the thread, but lifter tick happens when there is just low oil pressure? is that the only thing that causes it? Because im getting it pretty much every time im at idle. I have a 7 bolt too...could that mean im getting ready to walk?

For me each time i check the oil the reading never the same. Some days its between the 2 marks other days it will be above the max mark. But its only ticks when it idle. During driving there no tick.

idle= less oil pressure.

checking your oil means you have to do it before the car has been running other wise the levels are not accurate anyway
