The heater does not seem to put much heat out. Is this the same for everyone? Especially in defrost mode it does not do well.

maybe your thermostat is opening too soon and the coolant doesnt have a chance to get very hot...

The temp gauge when warm is usually straight across in the middle of the sweep. Where is the needle on anyone else with the turbo 2.0 on your gauge?

The middle during regular drive, but highway it goes a tiny bit higher than the middle.

Is there another elctric heater that compliments the standard heater core? Maybe a valve that sticks and does not open the heater core all the way to circulate the hot water?

almost sounds like a thermostat issue. Cuz i had a problem where all i got was cold air no matter what i set the temp to.

mine was weak with heat until i figured out how to set it the right way and that if you have the vents on full circulation it'll mix hot and cold air, but if you close them half way it'll do just hot air, but if it doesn't put out any heat with messing around with all of that, then you probably have a thermostat issue.
