I bought a 91 tsi fwd a few months back. I didnt hear the turbo spool up and the boost never went past 0 so i figured the turbo was bad. so i put a new one on there a little bigger than stock and when igot it back from the shop after they ddid some mods to get it to fit..i didnt hear the turbo spool up so i tried some things..i took off the exhaust from the cat back, changed the spark plugs and wires and it made it a little better and i could hear the turbo loud and clear. but it still runs like s**t. its an automatic and it takes forever to get up to speed and when it does it never changed gears.</P>


i got it to about 50-55mph and it never changed gears and the RPMs never got past 3000-3500..i dont know what it could be <IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"><IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"><IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"><IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"></P>

 

There would be something wrong with the auto gearbox i don't know what it could be on it though as i've been around manual gearbox's too long. <IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">But thats what it would be. Hope this helps.</P>
