I had my car fixed about a week ago. My timing belt went so I had a mechanic fix that and he also replaced water pump and 2 valves he also says he took the head to the machine shop for something but i have no clue why? I had it for couple days and it shut off like it did before and it was the timimg belt again.. Now i took it back and he is going to charger me $215 for the 2 valves and he said the tenisor messed up the timing belt and he had nothing to do with that and he also says i need to get the headcasket replaced now also? Something kinda seems odd is it my fault or his and should i be paying $215

 

well first of all you should never replace a timing belt without replacing the tensioner, and second, he would have to had removed the head in order to send it to the machine shop meaning he would have had to replace the headgasket. So it sounds to me that he didnt repair the 2 biggest things you must do when you have a timing belt break...
