since i have had my 95 GS i have never made power until 4-5k. I assumed that it was how the car was. I didnt realize that i might have a problem until i reved the car yesterday without it in gear and from 1k-4k took a full 2 seconds to rev, and 4k-7k took less than a half second to rev. there is nice pull at 5-7k but NOTHING below 4k.

95 mitsu elipse GS
AEM cai
OBX race header
magnaflow exhaust
new spark plugs

any idea whats wrong? could the compression ratio be off? is there something wrong with my gear ratio or drive train?

ok, i went back out and it seems that i am reving at good speeds now, maybe i had the a/c on before or something, i dunno. but i do want to know if anyone with a 2g with similar mods has this lag sort of experiance where u dont get power until above 4k rpm's.

 

well running the a/c will have you car running a little slower.
