Default removing rust AHHHH!!!!!!!

Its just bothering me really bad, under the hood along the driver side fender bolts, there are about three quarter sized rust spots, not yet through the metal because no whole yet. i want to know the easiest thing i can use to get rid of what i can, and then what can i use to prevent it from expanding? (sorry sebba, its really irritating me lol) thanks

wire wheel, sand paper, bondo and paint.. thats what i did under my hood on some spots and it looks great. i got some mixed paint for free tho from a guy my dad knew (who's now my boss) idunno of an easier way/ cheaper way to do it tho, sorry

It doesn't take long. You get a dremmel with a wire wheel attachment depending on the size of the spot the wire wheel portion should take 5-10 minutes at teh most. Then you hit it with sand paper. Another 15-20 minutes depending how bad the rust is. Maybe more maybe less. Then you prime and paint it. Unless the pits are really deep then I'd recommend a bit of bondo (Take a good day or 2 to fully cure) then prime and paint and you're good to go.

ya it doesnt really take long, as sang said, the longest part is waitin for the bondo and primer/paint to dry.. this is the kinda thing that if you rush, it WILL show, so my only advice is TAKE YOUR TIME, or you will not like the results

Don't use bondo. Weld.

Infact, cut out where the rust is, and weld in a new piece.

no he said its just a few quarter sized rust spots, and he wants to know the EASIEST way to get rid of it. if you weld it, first off you have to know how to weld, second off you will more then likely have to grind something down to make it flush, he would be a lot better off just to use bondo
