Hey guys, any of you have trouble with your starters.

i have a 96 gst, and so far 1 out of 10 starts it makes that screeching noise like the starter missed or something, it doesnt crank, so you have to turn the key off and restart it and it starts right up.

oh and btw, i smoked a IS 300 yesterday on the freeway onramp, he even burned rubber.

When my starter went, its just instantly died. One morning it just didnt start at all. No turning or anything. So idk why yours is working intermitently. But it does sound like the starter issue. So your saying its like the sound if your car is running and you turn the ignition?

 

yeah exactly, when your car is running and you turn the key you get that weird screech, exactly.
