the proper way to lower it is to buy new shocks/struts, springs, and camber kits for the front and rear, thus avoiding odd/uneven tire wear...
or buy a coilover setup, which would come with everything except for the camber kit.

its just not smart to lower a car any amount without correcting the camber. who cares if it costs you $100 extra. you will go through tires in no time and more than pay that for replacing the tires. lowering is something that really needs to be done right.

Again research a few places don't go to the place just cuz Joe Mechanic SAID it's the cheapest. Joe may just have a buddy there that cuts HIM a deal. I'd say look into reputable places too. If you're looking for a kit I'd say check JEGS, Summit, NOPI, and J.C. Whitney for starters.
