16g. if you go with the T4, you will have tons of lag. you probably won't hit full boost til ~4500rpms

16g will bolt up easy and is a great 1st upgrade turbo. The t4 needs a lot more parts along with it (upgraded fuel right away, new manifold, external wg etc) get your feet wet with the 16g before you go huge. 16g is good for solid 12's and even 11's if yo can tune/drive well.

Fmic will help alot, dont go cheap tho, get a hard pipe kit too, The socker dosent get heat soaked too easily, but think about this. Your egt's are about 14-1500 degrees, your turbo is sucking in air and putting it all through that little stock smic. That air is getting cooled down and going into the motor and getting pushed through the exaust. The hotter the charge temp the hotter the egt's. I dont know stock bottom ends that run egt's over 1650 and dont melt. Cooler the charge the safer.... unless your running a lean tune, than a consistant charge temp is very important. If you dont have the cash for a nice fmic kit you might want to think of using a water/meth sprayer. Lower egt's, and its a cool toy. If your instrested, pm me, I know a guy who hooks up a system that sprays windshield washer fluid, it sounds stupid but its a type of alcohal and its already got a huge res. under the hood.

If your looking at upgrading your turbo, its always suggested to upgrade the cooling systems right away with it... It will just help the turbo last longer...
