that is very general statement there. There are alot of garretts and almost all of them are not good over 800hp. Even the very biggest ones probably wont get 1000hp. even the 42r is only good till around 850hp. I think the only one that gives that is the GT60

for what your doing your would be best to buy a used t25 or a rebuilt t25, If you want you can get a 16g which is also good for the 420a, its got a little bit slower spool time but its a'ight. If you want a new turbo look for a t3 thats got something in the area of a .40-.50 a/r.

It is the turbine housing sizing. Basically the A=area of the turbine housing and the R=length from the center of the turbine housing to the shaft.

The reason you have to specify this is because T3 is very general, there are many different types. Varying by a/r ratios. He is saying to use one in this range is because if you try and use a bigger a/r then your car wont produce enough air to spool the turbo.

>a/r = more area therefore more lag but more power potential
<a/r = less area therefore less lag but less power potential

nah stuff like the a/r alot of people dont know about. I actually had to re-look it up to remind myself exactly what it was. I had an idea but remembering details is always tough. And no one knows it all, and none of us are experts. So no question is stupid
