Hey guys, I just picked up a GSX fixer upper. The seller said it needs the internals of the rear differential. I'm not sure what he means by that and the local junk yards don't have any GSX's. The dealer is only selling the whole unit of the rear differential for about $2k. Can you guys help me out finding a rear differential for less than $2k?

Also on DSM Tuners.com there are a bunch of GSX shells on there that you can get the parts from.

Do you have a more specific list of the parts needed?

 

It seems that in most of the junkyards that I go to all the gsxs and tsi's both get raped of their driveline components relatively quick. Hey thanks for replying. I checked ebay as well and no luck. It looks like I've been having a string of bad luck. I'll ask the seller tomorrow morning on a more specific note.

 

DSM trader is also a good place to look for parts.

 

be sure when you find a differential, if your car is auto, get a diff from an auto, if its a 5 spd car, diff has to come from a 5 spd. the ratio is different between the 2. ill keep my eyes open for a diff around here. ive been having good luck with finding parts lately.
